Before developing my Lilian Asterfield brand, paper was my true love. I had the amazing opportunity at the age of 24, to be a part of the Judi Rotenberg Gallery for three years. I lived and worked as a professional artist for five years.

My drawings are still a crucial part of my design. My training as a painter and sculptor inspire my designs and techniques. I think people forget that within each designer/creator are years of training, and world experiences.

Now that my paintbrush and pen have moved aside for now to make way for a thimble and needle, it seems appropriate to pull from the archives and share a few.
